The Middletown Township Police Department is fully operational during the COVID-19 pandemic and is committed to continuing to provide the high-quality police service that our fantastic community expects from us.
Our police department has unfortunately been hit with the coronavirus, with nine of our officers testing positive so far. We have been diligent and strict about quarantining officers and testing officers to prevent widespread infection within our PD. Thus far this approach has worked well and greatly limited the number of officers who could have potentially been infected. We are taking all precautions to protect our officers and the public we serve to keep us all healthy without compromising our police department's outstanding police services in any way.
Because our township building is closed to the public for the foreseeable future, the public will not be able to conduct any walk-in business with the police department until the building reopens.
We do ask, for the time being and whenever practicable or possible, that all non-emergency requests for police services be done by telephone (215-949-1000 or 215-750-3800).
All emergencies must be called into 911 and will have the same rapid police response as always. In-person officer responses have not been limited and you will always get an in-person officer response when you need one or request one, but we are asking that you request an in-person officer response in non-emergencies only if absolutely necessary.
Everyone stay safe and healthy and thank you for your great support. We will be here for you throughout this trying and difficult time.
