Annual Holiday Open House and Gallery of Trees Photos

On December 9, 2009, the Parks and Recreation Department held its annual Gallery of Trees and Holiday Open House. The event was a rousing success and was attended by more than 1,000 members of our community. Visitors enjoyed listening to sounds of the season provided by the Our Lady of Grace Children's Choir and the Neshaminy Orchestra. Tyler and his balancing act, Caricatures by Erin and Face Painting by Miss Jenny added to the festivities.

Under a balmy night filled with stars, people patiently waited in line to grab a seat for a ride in the wagon drawn by two magnificent Belgian draft horses. Santa arrived atop a fire truck (the reindeer were resting up for their big night) and visited with children anxious to share their holiday wishes.

Local non-profit organizations and Township departments decorated trees that were on display for everyone to enjoy. Visitors voted for their favorite trees using coins to cast their ballots. The trees were all so beautiful it was hard to choose just one! Proceeds from the evening were donated to NOVA (Network of Victim Assistance) of Bucks County.

The Parks and Recreation Department would like to thank all the volunteers and sponsors who helped make this annual event a great success, and to all the residents and visitors who participated in the evening's activities.
