"ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS"

Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals, in duplicate, will be received at the Middletown Township Municipal Center, 3 Municipal Way, Langhorne, PA 19047, until 11:00 A.M., prevailing time, on_Monday, November 30, 2009 for Energy Efficiency Upgrades for Restrooms at Middletown Community Center.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at Middletown Community Center, 2140 Trenton Road, Levittown PA19056 on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 9:30 a.m.

Proposals, which must be submitted in duplicate, will be publicly opened and read aloud at the office of the Township Manager, at the above address, Monday, November 30, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. The bid award date shall be announced at the bid opening.

Specifications and information for bidders may be purchased for $50.00 plus tax from the Cashier at 3 Municipal Way, Langhorne, PA 19047, Monday to Friday, 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M or may be downloaded free at the Township's web site.

All proposals must be sealed and addressed to the Township Manager at the above address and be marked,"Restroom Upgrade''on the outside of the envelope.Delivery of all proposals to the Township Office shall be the sole responsibility of the bidder.Questions regarding the specifications shall be directed to Debby Lamanna, Parks and Recreation Director at dlamanna@middletown-township.org

The bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Middletown Township

The successful bidder shall take affirmative action to ensure that applicants for employment and employees or agents are treated without discrimination based upon race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, age, sex, or disability.

The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids on any basis and to waive any informality in the bidding as permitted by law.No bidder may withdraw a bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof, except in accordance with the terms of PA Act 4 of 1974.
